Boneless Beef Birds(Benlose Fugler)

   Pound steak well on both sides with flour, salt and pepper. Cut into 4-inch squares.

   Place about 1 tablespoon filling on each square.

   Roll and bind with clean, boiled string or fasten with toothpicks.

   Brown in butter in electric skillet.

   Add 1/2 cup water and simmer on 280u00b0 to 300u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.

   Or, after browned, place in buttered baking utensil with water; cover with foil and bake in a 275u00b0 to 300u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
