Wash blueberries well and place in a large pot.

Turn your burner on medium heat.

Put stick of butter in and the sugar. Prepare dumplings as indicated on Bisquick box (if your family likes dumplings, prepare a double batch).

Let the berries slowly come to a slight boil (stir often).

Spoon in the dumplings, turn down the heat and cover the pot for about ten minutes.

Remove the top and let cook until the dumplings are done.

Cut into a dumpling with a knife or fork to see if it is done in the center. If the juice is not thick, use a mixture of flour and water to thicken the liquid.

Serve over vanilla ice cream or eat by itself.
