4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 pkg. dates, chopped

2 c. pecans, chopped

Mix flour and baking powder.

Cream the butter, sugar and eggs.

Combine these and add buttermilk and soda.

Mix well and divide using 2 loaf pans.

Bake at 300u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done in center.
