Place a sheet of parchment over puff pastry then top with another baking pan. Bake for 5 mins then remove top pan and parchment paper and bake for another 5 mins, or until lightly browned. Let cool for 5 mins. Reduce heat to 350u00b0F.

Meanwhile, to make the frangipane, beat butter, vanilla, sugar and egg yolks until light and fluffy. Stir in flour and ground almonds. Spread over pastry base then sprinkle with berries, pressing firmly into frangipane. Bake for 30 mins, or until lightly browned.
