Stir the mixture, mixing well by hand until combined. Coat a five-quart slow cooker with cooking spray and pour in the batter. In medium saucepan over medium heat combine the berries, water and remaining sugar and heat to boiling.

Once the berry mixture is boiling, pour it over the batter in the crock pot. Cover and cook on high for two and a half hours. Then turn the crock pot off, uncover it and let it stand for 30 minutes prior to serving.
