Mix the yeast with 1/4 cup warm milk in a large bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Mix the egg whites, 1/4 cup warm milk, and butter in a different bowl. Add the yeast mixture.

Add the sugar, salt, vanilla, flour, and the rest of the milk while stirring, until the mixture has a soft texture.

Cover the bowl with plastic film and let it sit in a warm place until it size doubles. This should take about 1 to 2 hours.

Remove the plastic film and stir the dough for 1 minute to remove the air.

Pour the mixture in a waffle iron and cook until brown on both sides.

Once ready, store the waffles in the oven at 100C so they keep warm until you finish cooking all of them.

Serve warm with peanut butter, chocolate, or honey on top.
