butter
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cubed ham
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 c. minced onion
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. mustard

Bring beans to a boil in the 4 cups water.

Let stand for 2 hours. Saute onion and garlic in butter for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
