Using a very heavy pan or skillet, melt margarine over low heat.

The mixture burns very easily. When mixture begins to bubble, turn heat to low but maintain boil. Boil, stirring carefully for 5 minutes.

Slice 3 bananas, arrange in bottom of pie shell. Pour cooled toffee mixture over them.

Place pie in refrigerator until cool.
