Banana Nut Bread

   Cream shortening and sugar, adding sugar slowly and beating until light.

   Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, then mashed bananas.

   Next, sift the salt and flour together.

   Stir soda in milk.

   Add flour and buttermilk mixture.

   Bake in tube pan or in 2 (9 x 5 x 3-inch) loaf pans.

   Bake at 350u00b0 for 1 hour for tube pan and for 50 minutes for loaf pans.
