2. In a medium sized bowl mix together your flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.

3. Using a large bowl cream together bananas, brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, butter, vanilla, eggs, milk and half-and-half. Slowly add your dry ingredients into your wet until everything is combined. Fold in your apples.

4. Using an ice cream scoop divide the batter into 12 muffin cups, filling to the top of the liners. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar evenly over the top of the muffins. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted in the center and comes out clean.
