4 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup cream
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
