Baked Custard

   Beat eggs just enough to blend evenly.

   Stir in sugar and salt.

   Add slowly, beating with a fork, the scalded milk and vanilla.

   Place in a greased Pyrex dish and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.

   Set bowl in a pan of hot water, lined with brown paper. Bake at 350u00b0 about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
