Baked Beans

   Put 1 tablespoon of margarine in a black skillet.

   Allow this to melt; add 1 chopped small white onion and 1 medium green bell pepper.

   Saute these and set aside.

   Brown 1 pound of ground beef, stirring it to separate as it cooks.

   Drain the oil from the meat and then add this to the onion and pepper.

   Add 1 large can beans, stir in 1 packed cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup barbecue sauce.

   Stir so that the sugar and sauce is mixed into the beans and meat.

   Turn heat to low and let the ingredients simmer for about 20 minutes.
