Aunt Celeste's Butter Cookies Recipe

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Beat egg and add in to mix.

   Set aside 10 min.

   Add in baking soda.

   Sift flour and cream of tartar together and add in to mix.

   Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet.

   Dip the bottom of a glass in sugar and press down on cookies to flatten.

   Bake at 350 till edges turn brown (8-10 min).
