   Salt aubergine, place in colander and let sit for 30 min.

   Pat dry.

   Preheat oven to 350 degress, grease a large non stick baking dish and place aubergine in dish.

   Combine oil and garlic; set aside 1/2 c. and brush remainder of the oil over all sides of the aubergine.

   Bake in the oven till tender and brown; about 20 min.

    Remove from oven and let cold.

    Steam beans till just tender-crisp; drain and rinse immediately under cool wate.

    Combine with aubergine pcs and red pepper, and toss with remaining garlic oil.
