Combine apples and sugar; let stand.

Beat eggs slightly; beat in oil and vanilla.

Mix and sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir into egg mixture alternately with apple-sugar mixture.

Pour into greased and floured oblong 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake tests done.

Let stand in pan until cool.
