1 c. Sugar
1 x Egg
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Baking soda
1 c. Flour
2 Tbsp. Warm water
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 c. Minced nuts
2 1/2 c. Apples, pared and cubed
1/2 c. Butter
3/4 c. Brown sugar
1/4 c. Cream
1/2 tsp Rum-flavored extract Or possibly, 1-2 Tablespoons rum

Cake - Cream together shortening and sugar.

Rum Sauce - Heat butter.

Add in brown sugar and boil 1 minute.
