Mix first 7 ingredients together, but add the rich's whip last. The dough will be very sticky (can flour your hands to help). Spray a piece of silverfoil with pam then put the dough on top. Mix together the brown sugar,ginger (optional), and cinnamon and sprinkle over dough. Roll it up and freeze, preferably overnight, but at least a few hours.

Preheat oven to 350F. In a 9x13 pan (I like to use glass since this is so pretty to take to the table), put in the apple slices. Mix the lemon juice, cinnamon and sugar together and mix with the apples. Bake for about 45 minutes. Take out the dough and cut slices. Put the slices on top of the apples, leaving no spaces. Bake at 350F for an additional 35 minutes.
