   Mix and spread in greased shallow pan.

   Peel and slice 4 medium apples as for pie.

   Insert into dough mixture in rows, as closely as possible.

   Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

   Cut thin slices of butter over all and bake at 350u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
