Apple Cobbler

   Mix ingredients together and set aside.

   In an 8 x 8-inch square Pyrex dish, slice thinly about 1-inch apples.

   Remove the crust from white bread and slice into 1-inch strips.

   Place strips of bread, meeting in center of dish, close together.

   Pour or spoon the margarine mixture over the bread strips and bake at 350u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.

   If using Stamen or Winesap apples, bake 45 to 50 minutes.

   Peaches or strawberries can be used.
