1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. sugar
2 c. grated apples
1 c. flaked coconut
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. orange juice
2 c. chopped pecans

Mix flour, soda and cinnamon; set aside.

Mix sugar, eggs, oil and orange juice until well blended.

Stir in flour mixture.

Fold in apples, nuts and coconut.

Pour into well floured and greased tube pan.

Bake at 325u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.

Cool in pan 15 minutes.

Put on cake plate.

Puncture top of cake with a fork. Pour hot Buttermilk Sauce over cake (recipe follows).
