   use heavy bottomed large sauce.... important

   mix butter, sugar, water and corn syrup

   over medium heat bring to a boil stirring until mixture reaches 295 - 310F.

   Mix in slivered almonds and pour on buttered cookie sheet

   REMEMBER MIXTURE IS HOT

   spread as evenly as possible

   sprinkle chocolate chips over top.

    spread evenly when melted

    sprinkle with ground almonds evenly

    let set, when hard break into pieces.

    use rolling pin or something hard to break gently into pieces
