1/2 c. Finely minced almonds
1/4 c. Packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
1/3 c. Mayonnaise
1/4 tsp Almond extract
1 x 17oz Lb. Cake Mix
1/3 c. Lowfat milk
2 lrg Large eggs
2 lb Pears, cored - peeled and thinly sliced

Grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan.

In medium bowl stir together first 4 ingredients.

Stir in mayonnaise and extract till mix resembles coarse crumbs; set aside.

In large bowl with mixer at low speed beat cake mix, lowfat milk and Large eggs just till blended.

Increase speed to medium; beat 2 min.

Spread in prepared pan.

Arrange pears in one layer on top of batter; sprinkle with mayonnaise mix.

Bake in 325 degree oven 50 to 60 min or possibly till cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

Cold slightly in pan.
